President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the digital system with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atahalliyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and velayat hyakims, at which the progress of agricultural work in the country was reviewed, TDH writes.
As noted, these days, in accordance with agrotechnical standards, wheat care, plowing and land leveling for cotton sowing continue in the regions of Turkmenistan.
The final stage is the preparation of agricultural machinery and equipment for the spring season, as well as high-quality seed material for the timely supply of cotton growers. The necessary measures are being taken to prepare for planting potatoes, onions and other vegetable and melon crops within the agrotechnical time frame.
Along with this, to improve the land reclamation condition, irrigation and collector-drainage systems are being cleaned.
Information was also provided on the work being carried out to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of heating systems in residential buildings, schools and kindergartens, as well as energy, gas and water supplies.
Having listened to the report and emphasizing the importance of the tasks facing the agro-industrial complex, the head of state instructed Deputy Prime Minister T.Atahalliyev to keep the focus on preparing for the upcoming sowing of areas allocated for cotton and high-quality seed material, compliance with agrotechnical deadlines and standards when caring for wheat, organized implementation and completion of planting potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops, as well as supplying farmers with high-quality seeds.
Addressing the heads of velayat administrations, the head of state ordered to keep under strict control the implementation at a high quality level and on time of the work planned for 2024 within the framework of the Program for the socio-economic development of the country in 20222028 and the National Rural Program.
The President of Turkmenistan also instructed to keep under control the uninterrupted functioning of heating systems at social facilities and the provision of electricity, natural gas and drinking water to the population.
