The President of Turkmenistan heard a report on the progress of spring field work

At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atahalliyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the velayats of the country and the state of affairs in the sector under his supervision, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

Currently, cotton sowing is in full swing, and inter-row cultivation is being carried out in the fields with seedlings, the Deputy Prime Minister said.

In the wheat fields, tenants continue to fertilize crops with fertilizers, vegetative watering and prepare enterprises, grain receiving points and elevators for the upcoming harvest. They are also sowing and caring for spring crops, cleaning irrigation canals and drainage networks for the rational use of water resources.

Information was provided on measures to care for silkworms for the successful production of cocoons. In addition, preparatory work is underway throughout the country to hold high-level ceremonial events dedicated to the National Turkmen Horse Day.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep the care of cotton seedlings and inter-row cultivation under strict control. The head of state also pointed out the need to comply with agrotechnical standards when caring for wheat and gave the Deputy Prime Minister specific instructions.
