The President of Turkmenistan discussed prospects for cooperation with the management of Petronas

During his official visit to Malaysia, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the Petronas skyscraper and held a meeting with the management of Petronas Carigali, TDH reports.

The meeting discussed priority areas of cooperation in the oil and gas sector, as well as prospects for further cooperation.

The oil and gas sector is one of the dynamically developing industries in Turkmenistan.In this regard, the significant contribution of the Malaysian company Petronas to the use of the country’s energy potential was emphasized.

For almost 30 years, it has been actively involved in hydrocarbon production projects in Turkmenistan.In addition, the company effectively trains qualified specialists for the oil and gas industry.

The fuel and energy complex is a promising area of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Malaysia. In this context, the productive nature of the partnership between the country and Petronas was noted.

During the meeting, the subject of keen discussion was the possibility of further expanding cooperation in new areas, taking into account economic development programs, reforms being implemented in the industrial sector and favorable conditions created for business in Turkmenistan.

During the visit, Serdar Berdimuhamedov also got acquainted with the history and features of the Petronas skyscraper, which is an important symbol of engineering and architectural excellence.
