The President of Turkmenistan congratulated the leadership of the Republic of India

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the people and the Government of Turkmenistan, as well as on his own behalf, sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to the President of the Republic of India Ram Nath Kovind, the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi and the people of the country on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic India.

“Over the past period, the dynamics of our relations has been progressive. Today, Turkmenistan and the Republic of India are cooperating in various fields both in bilateral and multilateral formats,” the head of state noted.

Emphasizing that the common history, rich culture and largely similar traditions and customs of our peoples serve as a solid foundation for strengthening centuries-old Turkmen-Indian ties, the head of Turkmenistan stated that all this had a positive effect on the interests of the peoples of the two countries.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, noting that he warmly recalls the recent historically significant state visit of the President of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan, expressed confidence that the talks in Ashgabat and the agreements reached would give a significant impetus to the progressive development and bringing bilateral relations to a new level.

As the head of state emphasized, our countries have accumulated positive experience of interaction in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. In particular, we are convinced that the successful implementation of regionally significant energy projects will be achieved through our joint efforts.

Turkmenistan and the Republic of India are implementing many important projects in terms of trade and economic partnership, including the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project, the successful completion of which will contribute not only to the economic prosperity of the participating countries, but also to the achievement of significant progress across the region.

Taking this pleasant opportunity, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed his sincere wishes to President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for good health, happiness and prosperity, and to the people of India - peace, progress and prosperity.
