The President of Turkmenistan approved a new procedure for registering topologies of integrated circuits

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution regulating the process of state registration of topologies of integrated circuits. The document establishes the procedure for payment and the amount of fees for carrying out actions related to this procedure. This is stated in the TDH message.

The decision was made as part of the implementation of the Intellectual Property Development Program for 20212025. It followed the adoption in 2023 of the Law “On the Legal Protection of Topologies of Integrated Circuits.”

Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov reported to the President on the progress of work to modernize the system of intellectual property protection in the country. He noted that Turkmenistan is a party to 15 international treaties in this area and actively cooperates with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO).

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of further improving the scope of intellectual property protection in accordance with international best practices. After signing the Resolution, the head of state sent the document to the Deputy Prime Minister through the digital system, addressing a number of specific instructions in this regard.
