Turkmenistan intends to expand cooperation with Türkiye in various sectors of the economy, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said during negotiations with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The head of the Turkmen state spoke about the need to develop mutually beneficial partnerships in investments, the gas chemical industry, the agro-industrial complex, new generation technologies, tourism, business, energy, industrial cooperation and other relevant areas.
Turkmenistan is ready to intensify trade and economic cooperation with Türkiye and expand it with specific projects, the President of Turkmenistan said.
An example of successful business cooperation between the two countries was the signing, following the results of the Turkmen-Turkish business forum in Ankara, of a number of documents relating to cooperation in various fields, including the production of building materials, the agro-industrial complex and the food industry, the purchase of specialized equipment, etc.
The documents signed following the high-level negotiations are intended to strengthen trade and economic ties between Turkmenistan and Türkiye, in particular the Memorandum on the establishment of the Turkmenistan-Türkiye Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TTCCI) forum and the Action Plan between the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the Development and Support Organization small and medium-sized enterprises of the Republic of Türkiye.
