Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with new facilities located near the International Airport of Ashgabat, the information program "Watan" of the Turkmen television reported.

Here, the head of the agency "Turkmenistan Airlines" Dovran Saburov reported on the state of affairs at the airbase, its equipment and ongoing work to establish aircraft maintenance.

Within the framework of the National Program for the Development of Civil Aviation of Turkmenistan for 2012-2030, large-scale work is underway to further improve the material and technical base of civil aviation, equip it with new aircraft and helicopters, build and modernize airports in the capital and velayats of the country and engineering facilities, as well as training of qualified specialists is carried out.

As emphasized, the technopark of "Turkmenistan Airlines" is replenished with new modern aircraft.Recently, two cargo aircraft of the A330-200 model of the P2F modification arrived in Turkmenistan.

This type of aircraft is used for the first time in Central Asia.In addition, at the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan, it is planned to purchase 7 more aircraft.

On the territory of the airport there are hangars designed for storage and maintenance of various types of aircraft. This allows for constant monitoring of the technical condition of cargo and passenger aircraft.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people inquired about the features of the facilities and their equipment.It was noted that every effort is being made to ensure that the activities and technical services carried out here meet the requirements of the time and international standards.

This is the main condition for the long-term use of aircraft and ensuring flight safety.

The President of Turkmenistan said that the technical characteristics of modern airliners are in line with international standards, stressing that the relevant technical standards must be strictly observed.At the same time, issues of improving the quality of passenger service, as well as the professional level of service personnel, should be a priority, the head of state noted, giving the head of the department a number of specific instructions.
