The state information agency TDH reports that on 26 September, 2021 several distinguished guests arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the festivities on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence.
Later that day President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov met with Marten Bouygues, CEO of the construction company Bouygues, which is entrusted to carry out major construction projects in Turkmenistan.
Among their projects is a new stand for parades, which was opened on 16 September, 2021.

Bilateral cooperation was on the agenda at a meeting meeting with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.Later Berdymukhammedov awarded his counterpart with the order of Turkmenistan Garaşsyzlyk.
The website of Tatarstan’s President has not mentioned the negotiations.
Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov also held a meeting with the Board Chairperson at Çalyk Holding Ahmet Çalyk. Like Bouygues, the company also executes a large number of construction orders in Turkmenistan.
The head of state also met with the Governor of Saint Petersburg Aleksandr Beglov, who “genuinely admitted the beauty and cleanliness of white marble Ashgabat”.
The website of the Governor’s office reports that Beglov met with Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Berdymukahmmedov and the Interior Minister Rashid Meredov.
It was emphasized that the trade turnover between St Petersburg and Turkmenistan increased by almost 30%.

Following the official meetings the governor of Saint Petersburg paid a visit to the Turkmen-Russian school named after A. Pushkin in Ashgabat where he handed over a certificate for school textbooks.
It is pointed out that Russian nationals account for 50% of all students of the school with the same number represented by children of employees of CIS diplomatic missions located in Ashgabat. There are over 800 students and 70 teachers in the school.
