Today, October 10, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived on an official visit to Turkmenistan, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
At the Ashgabat International Airport, the distinguished guest was met by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The welcoming ceremony included an honor guard and the traditional presentation of bread and salt and flowers by children in national costumes.
Here, at the airport, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a bilateral meeting.
During the conversation, confidence was expressed that this visit and the upcoming high-level talks in Ashgabat will be an important stage in the development of long-term cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
