On 25 June President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymhammedov examined Ashgabat’s readiness to host the Asian Games.
The state information agency TDH reports that the head of the state gave instructions to develop tourism in Ashgabat by highlighting that various advertising resources including outdoor advertisements banners and television monitors need to be used more efficiently for these purposes.
Later that day a trial flight to test the tourist route in a helicopter, which took off from the helicopter pad in Oguzkent hotel, was arranged. For the time being various routes for “air” tours, including in the suburbs of the capital, are being designed.
On 25 May in the course of the Cabinet session the President ordered organizing helicopter excursions for tourists who are scheduled to arrive in Ashgabat during the Asian Games.
