At the session of Turkmenistan’s Security Council held on 30 May Minister of the Interior Isgender Mulikov made a progress report on the measures designed to combat and prevent crimes and road traffic accidents and ensure fire safety regulations.
Addressing the issue of road accidents prevention, President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov ordered undertaking measures to make sure both bus drivers and pedestrians respect traffic rules. The President instructed that the outreach and awareness raising campaign be held.
Let us recall that in the evening of 15 May a car knocked down three girls aged 10-11 at the intersection of 10 ýyl abadançylyk and Yubileynaya streets in Ashgabat.
One of them died at the scene of the accident whereas another died in the ambulance.
