The post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for security, military and legal issues was abolished.The corresponding Decree "in order to improve the Government's activities in accordance with the requirements of the time" was signed by the President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country Serdar Berdimuhamedov at an expanded meeting of the Security Council held today, the Information Program "Watan" of the Turkmen Television reported.
The post of Deputy Prime Minister for security was established in January 2020. From its establishment, this post was held by Police Lieutenant General Charymyrat Amanov, who was also the Secretary of the State Security Council.
According to another Decree of the Head of State, Ch. Amanov was also released of this post today "in connection with the transition to another job."
