The opponent of Turkmen fighter Yagshimuradov for Bellator 277 was changed

Turkmen fighter Dovletjan Yagshimuradov a week before his appearance at Bellator 277 found out about his change of opponent.

The original opponent of Yagshimuradov, American Tony Johnson, was injured and will not perform on April 15 in San Jose.

The Bellator promotion quickly reacted to the situation and agreed on the fight between the Turkmen athlete and the Brazilian Rafael Carvalho, reports UOL.

Let us remind you, that Yagshimuradov after two defeats in a raw from Corey Anderson and Karl Albrektsson will approach this confrontation. Both of his fights in Bellator Yagshimuradov held in 2021.

32 years old Yagshimuradov was signed to the Bellator promotion in December 2020. The athlete became the first Bellator fighter from Turkmenistan. He has 18 wins, 7 losses and 1 draw. The upcoming fight for Dovletjan will be the third in the promotion.

Rafael Carvalho for ten years in mixed martial arts had 22 fights scoring 16 victories and suffering 6 defeats. Rafael has been playing at Bellator since 2014, where he also was able to win the middleweight title, but later lost it to former UFC fighter Gegard Mousasi.

The light heavyweight title fight between Russian Vadim Nemkov and American Cory Anderson will be the main event of Bellator 277. The winner will receive a prize of 1 million USD.
