In January of this year is planned an official visit of the Parliamentary State Duma of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan. This was announced by Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, speaking at the first plenary session of the spring session of 2023.
Thus, according to him, official visits of representatives of the State Duma to Iran and Turkmenistan will take place by the end of January, an expanded meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, as well as a working trip to Cuba are planned for February.
In addition, Vyacheslav Volodin said that the “Russia—Africa” international parliamentary forum will be held in March, and a conference on security and regional cooperation with the participation of China, Iran, Türkiye, and Pakistan will be held in April.
“Together with colleagues from Azerbaijan, we plan to held a Parliamentary conference of the Caspian countries in Baku. We continue the work within the framework of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly”, clarified Vyacheslav Volodin.
The State Duma is the lower chamber of the Federal Assembly, the Parliament of the Russian Federation. The highest representative and legislative authority in Russia, along with the Federation Council.
