The Musical-Drama Theater named after Makhtumkuli presents a large-scale production "Between the Amul and Hazar"

The festival of theatrical art "The Silk Road is the Way of the Heart" started. The exciting and dramatic stories will be played out on the scenes of the capital's theaters within seven days.

The thematic historical and cultural cycle was opened by the production of the Turkmen Music and Drama Theater named after Makhtumkuli "Between the Amul and Hazar", based on five legends from Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's book "Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road".

Gulshirin Hanova, the fourth-year student of the faculty of dramaturgy of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture arise as the author of the play in such a large-scale work.

Gulshirin reframed the text of the legends to a white verse, which emphasized the parable and historicism of the narrative. From Amul to Khazar is one of the segments of the Great Silk Road, passing through the territory of Turkmenistan.

The travelers brightened their travel time with stories of the cities they visited, bright events, extraordinary personalities...The foreign scientist and ethnographer visited our country and, having become interested in the book of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road", decided to visit places about which legends are composed.

Parav-bibi, a girl endowed with the gift of treating people lived in a village, which was at the foot of the Kopetdag. The rumor of a noble healer spread far beyond the borders of native village, and people from afar came to her for help.

Once the enemies broke the peaceful life.Paravi-bibi decided to run away, but seeing that she could not escape from the persecution, the girl asked for help from the Almighty: "Do not give me into the hands of these reckless barbarians, let the mountain to take me!".

After these words, the mountain opened and swallowed Parav-bibi.Since then, people from distant places come to the tree growing near this place to worship Paravi-Bibi and ask for health, family well-being or the birth of a long-awaited child. "What kind of white dove flew in the full moon at the Mausoleum of Sultan Sanjar?

This wonderful peri visits Sultan Sanjar "- so begins the fascinating story how Sultan Sanjar fell in love with a beautiful feast, made the offer of marriage. "I will marry you," she answered, "but only under the following conditions.

You should never see me combed, should not look at my feet while walking and hug me around the waist. " Sultan Sanjar was so deeply in love that he agreed to these concessions.

Only at first. One day he walked into his wife's room without warning.A young woman, taking off her head from her shoulders and laying it on her knees, combed her hair with a comb.

Peri jumped up and took a few steps to the side, and Sultan Sanjar noticed that her feet did not touch the floor. To reassure his wife, he embraced her and involuntarily touched his waist but she was disembodied...

The beautiful peri become sad and turned into a white dove, and flying away said that every time in full moon she would visit her beloved husband, who destroyed their family happiness.

The scientist flipped through the book and read another fascinating story about Genjim bey, which occurred in Kunyaurgench.Genjim bey married a beautiful woman - a stranger, and everything would be fine, but every week a fellow villager disappeared without a trace.

One day, anxious villagers turned to Genjim bey, among whom was the witch. "Follow your wife," she advised, "this woman is involved in the loss of people." If it is confirmed, then there is a way to cope with it.

When she turns into a snake, you must throw it with forty bags of lime and pour the same amount of water. " Genzhym bey went out at night after his wife from the house and personally saw how she from a beautiful wife turned into a huge snake, prepared to hunt people.

But Genzhim bey knew what to do and, having gathered his fellow villagers, threw his wife in lime and filled it with water. The snake died.People stopped disappearing from that night.

Next was a story about the enterprising queen Daya Khatym, who managed to expose the vizier and return her husband.Perhaps, the most exciting story about 40 archers, in front of which they set the condition: or 40 skillful archers should go to the enemy army, or their wives and children will perish.

But joining the ranks of enemies, they would have to fight against their people. The 40 brave warriors committed an act that glorified them for centuries - they came to the enemy with their fingers chopped off...

Patriotism, dignity, courage, unselfishness, intelligence, wit and wisdom, sung in legends, constitute the moral code of the Turkmen people - this is the main message of the theatrical work intended for the general audience.

Ainazar Batyrov, honored Art Worker of Turkmenistan is the director of the performance. The role of Parav-bibi was played by Maya Veliglydzhova, in the role of Daya Khatym - Nargiz Halykova, in the role of Peri-Gulnabat Abdullaeva, in the role of Sultan Sanjar - Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Yagmur Gurbannazarov.

After the performance, I congratulated the author of the play - a student of the Institute of Culture Gulshirin Hanov with a successful debut and asked her to share impressions. "In order to cover the entire Turkmenistan in the performance," she says, "I picked up legends in all regions, hence the name" Between the Amul and Hazar. " Working with material covering a huge layer of history and oral folk art was fascinating.

To reframe the text to a white verse was not a big deal, as I am keen on poetic creativity and the selection of my poems is often published in the newspaper “Esger”.

Today's premiere is an exciting and joyful event, and I am grateful to the creative staff of the theater for the beautiful embodiment of the play, and to the audience for the high appreciation of our joint work.
