The Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan is preparing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ayhan Hajyyev

The Museum of Fine Arts in Ashgabat is preparing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Ayhan Hajyyev.

About a hundred paintings by the artist from the museum’s collections will be presented to visitors in April, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

Among the works from different years is a portrait of Magtymguly, recognized as the canonical image of the poet, and the painting “A Century-long Dream Come True,” dedicated to the builders of the Karakum Canal. The painter’s brushes also include such paintings as “Difficult Years”, “The First Teacher”, “Science to Help Cotton Growers”, “On the Harman”.

Also in April, a forum dedicated to the centenary of Ayhan Hajyyev will be held, with the participation of Turkmen artists, students, as well as foreign guests. Forum participants will discuss the artist’s contribution to national fine art and its popularization in the world.
