On 7 March “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” reported that a Turkmen national Serdar Annaorazov, a senior student of the University named after Admiral Makarov in the city of Mykolaiv, went missing in Ukraine.
The next day after the publication Serdar’s mother received a call through IMO. The caller introduced himself as an official of Turkmenistan’s Embassy in Ukraine and said that Serdar had died and his body was in morgue in Mykolaiv.
He asked for Serdar’s mother permission to bury her son in Mykolaiv because in current circumstances his body could not be transported to his home country.
The details of the student’s death were not disclosed.
An hour later there was another telephone conversation: the mother asked to take photos of the body, the burial process and the grave and send them to her. The same voice replied that the situation had changed and the Embassy could not do anything.
Serdar’s mother thinks that in any case the official from the Embassy was obliged to take a photo of the body and collect his documents and draw up a report confirming the death of a Turkmen citizen.
The Embassy official did not explain why he had been unable to do so.The post The mother of Turkmen student who went missing in Ukraine informed of his death first appeared on Chronicles of Turkmenistan.
