The Moscow Zoo celebrated the birthday of two Chinese pandas

Visitors of the Moscow Zoo had the opportunity to get acquainted with Chinese culture and watch the feeding of pandas. The zoo management arranged a celebration on the occasion of the birthday of two giant pandas Ding Ding and Ru Yi, writes russian.china.org.cn.

The animals were brought to Russia in 2019 from China's southwestern province of Sichuan for a 15-year joint research program.

It is noted that the male Ru Yi is 6 years old, and the female Ding Ding, born in 2017, is 5 years old.

Let us note that Chinese pandas are no longer considered endangered since 2017, but are still vulnerable as a species. In 2021, the wild panda population has increased to 1800 individuals.

These animals have gained worldwide popularity due to their cute appearance, reminiscent of a soft children's toy.
