The international contest was held within the events planned both in Turkmenistan and abroad under this year’s motto “Turkmenistan is the Home of Peace and Trust”. Also, an online contest was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence and 25th anniversary of Permanent Neutrality of the country.
Among the contestants were young lawyers from Turkmenistan and abroad. In total, 44 candidates, of which 9 were from Uzbekistan, participated in the contest.
The online contest was held in different directions: features of the application of international legal norms in international energy projects, important issues of international environmental law and modern legal solutions, improvement of the international legal framework of international transit corridors. Also, participants discussed the current experience and prospects of protecting the interests of the state in international arbitration courts.
The winners were selected by the jury according to the importance of the proposed research papers and innovations, as well as the priority of their practical application.Among the contest winners are assistant-trainee of the Kopetdag district prosecutor’s office of Ashgabat Jeyhun Atamuradov, specialist of the Hukukçy Economic Society Myrat Ovezov, Asal Juraeva of Uzbekistan, senior adviser of the Department of International Legal Relations of the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan, assistant-trainee of the Military Prosecutor’s Office Yakub Ashirov and lecturer of the Department of Constitutional Law of the Makhtumkuli Turkmen State University Jennet Novruzova.
At the end of the contest the winners were awarded with diplomas and prizes.
