A meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Turkmenistan (with residence in Ankara) Saif Bin Rashid Bin Saif Al-Jahwari was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The new ambassador presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan A.Gurbanov and thanked him for his congratulations on his appointment to this post.
During the conversation, the diplomats discussed the current level of development of Turkmen-Omani relations, noting that visits at the highest and high levels give a powerful impetus to the development of bilateral relations.
The parties expressed interest in developing partnership in the trade and economic sphere, emphasizing the existence of opportunities for cooperation in the oil and gas sector, agriculture, textile industry, as well as the need to utilize the potential of the International Transport and Transit Corridor Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Oman.
In addition, the parties considered the possibility of holding joint events, including business forums, trade shows and others, as well as establishing direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries.
The diplomats discussed the possibilities of developing cultural and humanitarian ties, noting the importance of holding cross-cultural Days, exhibitions and other events.
