Yesterday, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the Italian delegation headed by the Plenipotentiary Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Federico Failla.
The delegation included representatives of Italian universities: the University of St. Andrews, Ca’ Foscari University, the University of Milan Bicocca, the Italian National Institute of Health, the University of Bologna, the website of the ministry reports.
The Turkmen side was represented by representatives of the ministry and leading Turkmen universities, including the vice-rectors of the International University for the Humanities and Development and the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly.
A wide range of Issues aimed at strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and Italy, with an emphasis on the creation of knowledge networks, were discussed during the meeting.
The Italian side emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership with Central Asia, noting its unique opportunities for exchanging experiences and implementing joint initiatives.
The main areas of discussion corresponded to the topics raised at the Third Ministerial Conference Italy Central Asia, held on May 29, 2024. Particular attention was paid to such areas as energy, water resources, healthcare, education and research.
The parties confirmed their readiness to further deepen the partnership. The initiatives under discussion will contribute to the development of sustainable ties between Turkmenistan and Italy, the source notes.
