A round table on the topic Innovative Economy and Startup Ecosystem was held at the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, bringing together representatives of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, members of the Council of Economists of Turkmenistan.
The main focus was on the development of the startup ecosystem and innovative economy, as well as on improving educational programs taking into account the current needs of the labor market, according to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
Issues of supporting students' entrepreneurial initiatives and creating conditions for the successful integration of science, education and production were also discussed.
Recommendations of the International Labor Organization aimed at adapting educational systems to the requirements of the future were considered.It was noted that in order to successfully train specialists, it is necessary to study the experience of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Turkmenistan, which analyzes and forecasts the needs of the labor market.
Orienting educational programs to these forecasts will be the key to the formation of relevant qualifications.
During the meeting, reports were presented on international experience in developing startup ecosystems at universities and mechanisms for their adaptation in Turkmenistan were proposed.
All proposals put forward at the round table meeting, as well as advanced international experience, will be taken into account in the development of the draft Strategy for the Development of Higher Education in Turkmenistan for 2026-2052.
