The Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan met with the Prime Minister of Georgia

On June 5, within the framework of the fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission on Economic Cooperation in Tbilisi, the head of the delegation of Turkmenistan, the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan B. Gochmollayev met with the Prime Minister of Georgia I. Garibashvili.

The parties noted with satisfaction the active growth of Turkmen-Georgian relations, as well as the positive experience of multilateral cooperation within the framework of authoritative international and regional organizations.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, including the state and prospects of trade and economic relations, the promotion of trade, the development of cooperation in industry, transport, and the fuel and energy sector.

The participants noted that in the context of the further development of trade and economic relations, an important role is assigned to the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission for Economic Cooperation, whose meetings are held on a regular basis and include an ever-wider range of issues.

The parties expressed confidence that traditionally friendly interstate ties, strategic partnership based on trust, mutual respect and consideration of each other's interests will serve as a guarantee of a qualitative increase in trade and economic ties for the benefit of the two countries' prosperity.
