Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova held a meeting with the new UNICEF representative in Turkmenistan Jalpa Ratna. This is stated in a statement from the press service of the national Parliament.
Gulmanova congratulated Ratna on her appointment and expressed hope for strengthening bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, the priorities of Turkmenistan’s domestic and foreign policy, as well as legislative support for reforms in various sectors, were discussed.
The parties highly appreciated the results of cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNICEF and discussed the prospects for its further development. Particular attention was paid to the activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation to support children in need of care.
