1.National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived on Thursday on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates.At the Abu Dhabi airport, the head of the Halk Maslahaty was met by the UAE Minister of Energy and other officials.
During the brief conversation, the special importance that Turkmenistan attaches to the comprehensive expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with the UAE as one of the most dynamically developing countries in the world was noted.
2.During the visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held negotiations with the President of the UAE.The parties discussed the further development of bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted the successful partnership with financial institutions of the United Arab Emirates, as well as in such areas as energy, transport and communications, industrial and agro-industrial complex, and high technology.
At the end of the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited the President of the UAE to visit Turkmenistan at a time convenient for him.
3. A telephone conversation was held between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi. During the conversation, the President of Turkmenistan noted that he received with great regret the news of a terrorist attack in the city of Kerman, which led to numerous casualties and injuries.
4. The State Committee of Turkmenistan on Statistics, with the support of UNICEF and UNFPA, will monitor data on the well-being of children and their families. The study will provide important information for the development of government programs in the interests of children. From January to April, trained field teams will visit 6800 households across the country.
5.Innovative technologies and world-class equipment have been introduced in the new Oncology Center in the city of Arkadag in Turkmenistan.This will significantly increase the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment of cancer in the country.
According to the director of the Center, Rejep Orazberdiyev, thanks to modern diagnostic equipment, it has become possible to detect various forms of cancer in the early stages.This is a priority area of the clinic’s work.
The Center has introduced all methods of palliative care aimed at improving the quality of life of patients and their families faced with a problem associated with an incurable disease.
6. The Museum of Fine Arts hosted the opening of an exhibition of women artists from Iran and Turkmenistan. Masters of fine and decorative arts presented their original works.
7. “Turkmenistan” Airlines will resume direct regular flights on the Ashgabat Abu Dhabi Ashgabat route from January 5.The decision to resume air traffic between the capitals of the two countries was made during the working visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people to the UAE.
Within the framework of the visit, the Head of the Halk Maslahaty held a working meeting with the participation of deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and heads of the country’s fuel and energy complex.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the resumption of air traffic with the capital of the UAE indicates that bilateral relations have been brought to a new level.
