1.The progress of agricultural work in the regions of the country, as well as preparations for the upcoming spring sowing, was discussed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a working meeting on the digital system, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Atahalliyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and the hyakims of the velayats.
During the meeting, the heads of velayat administrations reported on the work being carried out in the regions to prepare for the sowing campaign.It was noted that wheat crops are being cared for in accordance with agrotechnical standards.
The preparation of land, equipment and seed material for sowing cotton and other agricultural crops also continues.
2.Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova met with Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China Hao Mingjing, who arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit.
During the meeting, the parties noted the high level of interstate dialogue achieved in recent years, which is successfully developing on a bilateral and multilateral basis, including in the “Central Asia-China” format, as well as through the UN.
The interlocutors emphasized the mutual desire to give new impetus to the traditional partnership, initially built on the principles of equality and mutual respect.
3.Registration has started for the annual short film competition “Film in 48 hours” among filmmakers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.Participants will have to come up with a plot, shoot and edit a film in just two days.
Registration for the competition will last until February 22.Filming days will be held on February 24-25.Based on the selection results, the best 48 works will be selected, among which the jury will determine the winners in various categories.
The main prize is training at the New York Film Academy.
4.The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Russia Esen Aydogdyev visited St.Petersburg to take part in the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade.
During the funeral ceremony at the Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery, the diplomat laid flowers at the Monument to the Heroes of Turkmenistan who died in the battles for the liberation of Leningrad.
5.A meeting was held in Yerevan between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan Muhammed Ayazov and the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia Karen Ivanov.
At the meeting, issues of increasing the trade and economic potential of the two countries and increasing trade turnover were discussed.It was noted that the Armenian delegation plans to take part in the exhibition of modern food technologies “Agro-Pak Turkmenistan”, which will be held in Ashgabat in May 2024.
