1.President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which the results of the work of economic sectors for 2023 were summed up, reports were heard from deputy prime ministers, a number of heads of ministries, and velayat hyakims.
The agenda also includes long-term tasks of the socio-economic development of the state for the current year and personnel issues.
2.At an extended meeting of the Government of Turkmenistan, the results of the traditional annual competition to determine the best etrap in the country were announced.The Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal velayat was recognized as the winner of the 2023 competition.
The head of state signed a decree awarding the hyakimlik of the Ak Bugday etrap with a cash bonus in the amount of 1 million USD.
3.The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan published on the official website updated world rankings of universities for 2024, whose diplomas will be recognized in the country and subject to nostrification.
In particular, documents from universities included in the International Moscow University Ranking, the World University Ranking 2024, the QS World University Ranking 2024, and the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2024 will be recognized in Turkmenistan.
4. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, made personnel changes in the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan and the State Publishing Service.
5.On the eve of the Russian Presidential elections, the Russian Embassy in Ashgabat agreed with the Turkmen side on the opening of five polling stations in the largest cities of Turkmenistan.
Polling stations are planned to be opened in Ashgabat, Turkmenbashy, Turkmenabat, Mary and Dashoguz.The presidential elections in Russia are scheduled for March 17, 2024.Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17.

6. The chief sanitary doctor of Kazakhstan, Aizhan Esmagambetova, signed a decree recommending wearing masks in public places. This is due to the increase in the incidence of coronavirus, measles and other respiratory viral infections.

Unfortunately, Anamjan was unable to complete a single successful attempt in the clean and jerk, which deprived her of the chance to compete for medals in the combined event.
The Asian Championship started in Tashkent on February 3 and will last until February 10.
