1.From January 3 to 10, Turkmenistan will accept documents for studying at universities in China and Hungary for undergraduate programs for the 2024/2025 academic year.The selection will be carried out by the Commission for Admission of Documents at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University among citizens of the country with general secondary, secondary vocational or higher education.
The commission will be able to obtain detailed information about the list of specialties, the number of budget places, conditions of study and living in China and Hungary.
2.Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin highly appreciated the relations between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation in his congratulatory message to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the New Year 2024.
According to him, in 2023, relations between the two countries progressively developed based on the principles of strategic partnership, friendship and mutual respect.He paid special attention to successful economic cooperation.

4. The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan has approved the procedure for implementing educational programs using electronic and distance technologies in educational institutions. The new procedure was adopted in order to increase the accessibility and quality of education, as well as expand the use of modern educational technologies in educational institutions of Turkmenistan.
5. The traditional New Year's theater marathon has started in Turkmenistan. Festive performances and performances will be held daily until January 10.

8.The death toll as a result of a series of powerful earthquakes in the Japanese Ishikawa Prefecture has reached 55 people.There are more than 100 victims.
The most destructive earthquake of magnitude 7,6 occurred on January 1 in the Noto Peninsula region.It has become the strongest in this area since 1885.As a result of the tremors, buildings collapsed and train traffic stopped. 32 thousand houses were left without electricity.

10.Turkmen midfielder Ruslan Mingazov, who plays for Hong Kong “Kitchee”, started 2024 successfully.As part of the team, the 32 years old football player won his first trophy of the new year - the Hong Kong Premier League Cup.
In the final match, “Kitchee” beat “Li Man” in a penalty shootout with a score of 5:4.During regulation time of the match, which ended with the score 2:2, Ruslan Mingazov scored a goal.
11.The Asian Cup will be held in Qatar from January 12 to February 10, 2024. 24 national teams will take part in the tournament.Based on the results of the group stage, the 2 best teams from each group, as well as 4 teams that took third place, will advance to the playoffs.
