Today, the International Youth Forum “Dialogue is a Guarantee of Peace”, jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named, was held at the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev in Arkadag.
The Forum's partners are international and regional organizations, including the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, youth organizations and educational institutions.
The purpose of the event, held in online and offline formats, is to promote peaceful dialogue as the most important means of resolving conflicts and overcoming differences between young people around the world.
During 4 sessions of the Forum the following topics will be discussed:
Participants in the Dialogue included young leaders, activists, students, entrepreneurs and innovators aged 18 to 35 years old, showing a keen interest in issues of maintaining peace and resolving conflicts.
During its work, speeches are provided by heads and representatives of large international organizations, including UNRCCA, UNICEF, UNESCO, UNFPA, the UN Environment Program, as well as the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN and others.
Before the start of the Forum, its participants got acquainted with the exhibition of decorative and applied arts, displayed in the foyer of the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev.
Following the results of the forum, it is planned to sign a Memorandum of “Dialogue of Youth of Central Asian Countries”.
The International Youth Forum “Dialogue is a Guarantee of Peace” is a dynamic and inclusive platform aimed at developing constructive dialogue between young people representing different cultures, regions and views.
The forum is designed to expand the capabilities of youth in processes such as peacebuilding, conflict prevention and resolution, through the use of diplomatic means, as noted in the Concept Note of the event organizers.
