Ten years have passed since the opening in 2013 of the Innovative Research and Education Center of the International University of Oil and Gas named after. Yagshygeldi Kakaev. Over the years, the Center has become a leading institution for training and retraining specialists for the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan.
The center is located in 3 cities of the country - Ashgabat, Balkanabat and Turkmenbashy.Over 10 years, more than 8 000 people were trained within its walls.Over 540 contracts have been concluded with companies, including Eni, Rönesans, Mitsubishi, Dragon Oil and others.
Director of the Center Rahat Nepesov spoke about this in an article for the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
In 2023, the institution launched 176 new educational programs, including environmental and industrial safety, refrigeration systems, and digital technologies. A laboratory “Refrigeration and climate control systems” has been created to train specialists.
The center also works closely with the country's oil and gas companies, such as Turkmengas and Turkmengeologiya, in the framework of scientific and technical projects and the introduction of innovations. Projects are being implemented to increase the productivity of gas wells and develop new drilling fluids.
Thus, over 10 years, the Innovative Scientific and Training Center MUNG has become a leading center for training personnel for the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan.
