The head of Turkmenistan discussed with the President of the University of Tsukuba cooperation in the field of science and education

The prospects for expanding Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in the field of science and education were discussed today by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the head of the University of Tsukuba (Japan) Kyosuke Nagata, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit, the information program Watan of the Turkmen television reported.

During the meeting, it was noted that both countries consider the opening wide prospects for deepening traditional Turkmen-Japanese ties in the field of science and education as an essential condition for comprehensive development and progress.

In the opinion of the parties, a lot of joint work has already been done in the field of scientific cooperation, at the same time, there are great opportunities for expanding partnerships.

As the head of Turkmenistan emphasized, the development of the national education system, bringing it to a qualitatively new level by strengthening the material and technical base is a priority of the state policy of our country.

“We attach great importance to the use of international experience and achievements in improving the education system,” said Serdar Berdimuhamedov, highlighting the effective nature of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan in this direction.

This is confirmed by the education of Turkmen youth in Japan, the teaching of the Japanese language in a number of secondary and higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan, and the established relations between representatives of science and education.

Noting with satisfaction the established fruitful cooperation between the University of Tsukuba and domestic universities - the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi and the Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan named after Oguz Han, the head of state expressed confidence that this partnership, which plays an important role in the formation of a modern, well-developed and using innovative technologies of the younger generation will continue to develop successfully.
