The President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution, ordering the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Association Türkmengallaönümleri (“Grain Products of Turkmenistan”), and the hyakimliks of Dashoguz and Lebap velayats to ensure the production of a high yield of rice in the respective etraps of these velayats.
Also, in accordance with the document, starting from the 2024 harvest, the state purchase price for rice has been increased.
The document was signed in order to further reform the country’s agricultural sector in the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state, strengthening food security by increasing the volume of agricultural products produced, as well as stimulating farmers to produce high rice yields, TDH reports.
