Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, Mammethan Chakyev, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, made working trips around Ashgabat, as well as to the Balkan velayat.
In the capital, M. Chakyev visited the facilities of the Türkmenawtoulaglary (“Auto Transport”) and Türkmenaragatnaşyk (“Communications”) agencies and got acquainted with their activities.
Then the head of the Agency of Transport and Communications arrived at the international airport of Jebel in the Balkan region, the construction of which is now underway at a rapid pace.
Next, he visited the International Seaport of Turkmenbashy and got acquainted with the activities carried out here.Currently, at the “Balkan” shipbuilding and repair plant, along with shipbuilding, repairs of tankers, dry cargo ships, and tugs are carried out.
Then M.Chakyev held a working meeting with the participation of managers and specialists of the regulated industries, the administration of the Balkan velayat and etraps, at which issues related to the further improvement of the transport and communications sector, the realization of the potential of production capacities and preparations for the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of independence were discussed.
As noted, the activities of the transport and communications sector are of particular importance for strengthening the national economy, increasing the level of service to the population, and introducing a digital system into all spheres of society. Comprehensive measures are being taken to adequately fulfill the assigned tasks, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
