The GDP growth rate of Turkmenistan for January-April 2024 amounted to 6.3%

The GDP growth rate of Turkmenistan for four months of this year was 6.3%. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov announced this during a government meeting, TDH reports.

According to him, compared with the same period in 2023, the volume of production in the country increased by 11.4%, production indicators by industry are positive.

Since the beginning of the year, retail trade turnover has increased by 11.1% compared to the same period last year.

The revenue part of the State budget was fulfilled at the level of 102.6%, and the expenditure part - 97.4%.

Wages for large and medium-sized enterprises in the country compared to the corresponding period in 2023 for JanuaryApril are 10.4% higher. Wages, pensions, government benefits and student scholarships are funded in a timely manner.

Compared to the same period last year, over four months the volume of capital investments increased by 23.9%.

Data on the progress of implementation of the National Rural Program was also presented.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to continue work aimed at further increasing the indicators achieved in January-April of this year. In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to continue to carry out program activities to strengthen the economic potential of the country and improve the social and living standards of the population.
