The founder of Amazon bought one share of his company for 115 USD and made money on it

The founder of the Amazon marketplace, American billionaire and the third richest person in the world, Jeff Bezos, bought one Amazon share for 115 USD two weeks ago and made money on it. It is reported by “Gazeta.Ru” with reference to the Bloomberg agency.

The purchase of the stock is Bezos' first documented acquisition in the market since 2002. The stock was bought for 114,77 USD, but by June he had made about 10 USD on it, as Amazon shares traded at 124 USD.

Bezos' actions baffled Amazon analysts and stock watchers, and social media was also puzzled by the billionaire's purchase. According to one version, buying one share of Bezoso is a joke in the style of businessman Elon Musk.

Jeff Bezos stepped down as CEO in July 2021. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, he still owns about 10% of the company.
