The meeting was aimed at strengthening cooperation and exchanging ideas. Participants had the opportunity to discuss projects, initiatives and strategies to achieve the goals of the Youth4Health initiative, according to a WHO press release.
Youth for Health is a special initiative of Dr. Hans Henri P. Kluge, Regional Director of the WHO Regional Office for Europe. Launched in 2021, it aims to strengthen the influence of young people's voices and opinions in all aspects of the work of the WHO Regional Office for Europe.
Youth are active members of society who are not afraid to challenge the status quo and raise their voices. To build an inclusive and sustainable future for all, it is important to hear the voices of young people in health-related decision-making processes.
Turkmen youth are among the young people who have joined the Youth4Health network. Recently, the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan became a member of this network and strives to contribute to the development of public health.
