In December of this year, the State Tretyakov Gallery will launch the “My Tretyakov” Gallery online platform in English, reports TASS with reference to statement by Zelfira Tregulova, general director of the museum.
The mission of the project is to popularize Russian art and the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery. According to Zelfira Tregulova, the launch of the English version will make the accumulated knowledge of the museum available not only within Russia, but also abroad.
The digital portal “My Tretyakov” Gallery provides an opportunity to get acquainted with the vast collection of the museum, which includes more than 200 000 works of Russian art from the XI century to the present day.
Today, about 10 000 users are already registered on the “My Tretyakov” Gallery portal.
In the near future, the Tretyakov Gallery will create a network of public libraries within the framework of the “Book Lounge” pilot project.
