The Embassy of Qatar in Turkmenistan invited Muslims for a Ramadan meal.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Turkmenistan Ghanem bin Abdullah Al Romaikhi invited representatives of the Muslim community to have iftar - an evening meal during the month of Ramadan, which is held before or after evening prayers.

The event at the headquarters of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Ashgabat was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Berdiniyaz Myatiev, as well as heads of diplomatic missions and offices of international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, businessmen, media representatives.

In the month of Ramadan, which this year takes place in Turkmenistan from March 23 to April 20, Muslims fast - do not take food and water during daylight hours.

At the end of the fast, a holiday is celebrated - Oraza Bayramy.In 2023, Oraza Bayramy in Turkmenistan falls on April 21.By Presidential Decree, this holiday is declared a non-working day.
