Today, a reception was held in the new building of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ashgabat in honor of the 100th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev.
By the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 2023 has been declared the Year of Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan. The official opening of the new building of the Embassy was timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the founder of the independent Azerbaijan state, an outstanding political and statesman.
Speaking to the guests, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan Gasan Zeynalov spoke about the state path of Heydar Aliyev, his services to the people of Azerbaijan.
“The paths he opened today lead Azerbaijan to a clear future.The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, the Southern Gas Corridor, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, TRACECA, the Historical Silk Road, the Zangezur Corridor, the author of the idea of which was Heydar Aliyev and putting a lot of effort into implementation, are projects that serve the development of the Turkic world.
Heydar Aliyev was a person with great goals and he considered his actions not only on the scale of Azerbaijan, but also on the scale of all Turkic states,” the ambassador stressed.
In the near future, a book of poems by the people's poet of Azerbaijan Zalimhan Yagub "The Epic of Eternity", dedicated to Heydar Aliyev, will be presented, which will be published in the Turkmen language.
According to G.Zeynalov, a tree planting campaign will also be timed to coincide with the anniversary, and a presentation of a concert program will take place in June.
