The delegation of Turkmenistan visited Afghanistan

The delegation of Turkmenistan led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov made a working trip to the Afghan province of Herat on December 16-17, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.

As part of the visit, a meeting was held with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Amir Khan Mottaki, the Minister of Mining Industry Shahabutdin Delaware, as well as the Minister of Industry and Trade Nuretdin Azizi.

Topics of negotiations included the TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) gas pipeline project, the TAP (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan) high-voltage power transmission line and the expansion of Afghan railway infrastructure.

The foreign ministers of the two countries and members of the Turkmen delegation got acquainted with the transport and energy infrastructure facilities being built by Turkmen and Afghan companies.
