The Czech Republic sent a new ambassador to Turkmenistan

A ceremony of presenting credentials by the new Ambassador of the Czech Republic Lubomir Frebort to the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova was held in Ashgabat, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, the head of the National Parliament congratulated the ambassador on his appointment to a responsible diplomatic post, wishing him success in activities aimed at strengthening friendly relations and effective interstate dialogue developed on a bilateral and multilateral basis.

Ambassador Frebort, in turn, conveyed warm wishes from the leadership of the Czech Republic. He highly appreciated the international authority of Turkmenistan, achieved thanks to its peace-loving policy. The diplomat assured that he would use all his experience to strengthen Turkmen-Czech cooperation.

During the meeting, the priorities of Turkmenistan’s domestic and foreign policy, based on the principles of positive neutrality and mutually beneficial partnership, were discussed. The parties noted progress in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, including inter-parliamentary interaction.

Concluding the meeting, Lubomir Frebort reaffirmed his commitment to the further development of fruitful relations between Turkmenistan and the Czech Republic.
