The cruise liner "Peter the Great" will call at Turkmenbashy in 2024

The first cruise ship built in Russia, Peter the Great, will start cruising the Caspian and Black Seas next year. As part of these cruises, the ship will call at the ports of Azerbaijan (Baku), Kazakhstan (Aktau), Turkmenistan (Turkmenbashy) and Makhachkala, RIA Novosti notes with reference to the administration of the Governor of the Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin.

It is noted that the Peter the Great was built at the production site of the Lotos shipyard of the Southern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center.Passengers on board the ship will have access to restaurants, spas, gyms, a swimming pool and a sauna.

In total, the “floating hotel” has 155 cabins with 310 beds. 90 employees, including crew members, will serve tourists.

The construction of the liner has become an important event for cruise tourism in the region and will serve to develop cooperation in the field of tourism between Russia and the Caspian countries.
