The crew of the Automobile Sports Federation of Turkmenistan successfully passes the rally-marathon “Silk Road”. The official website of the competition reports about this.
On July 12, the rally-marathon “Silk Road” crossed its equator - five stages were left behind and five more participants remained to overcome.
After two days of failures, Dmitry Voronov, piloting LADA Niva, was able to squeeze the maximum out of the situation - at the finish of the “Grozny-Elista” marathon special stage, the Russian was the first, and by a wide margin from his rivals.
Shamurad Gurbanov from Turkmenistan, who became the second, lost almost an hour to Voronov, and the third-place winner Merdan Toylyev closed the top three.
The results of the seventh special stage on July 13 “Elista-Elista” completely repeated the result of the sixth stage - Shamurad Gurbanov and Merdan Toylyev finished after Voronov.
On the eighth day of the rally “Silk Road”, the race participants will have a stage along the “Elista-Volgograd” route with a total length of 647 kilometers, 444 of which will be a special section.
The rally “Silk Road” will end on July 16. The total length of the route will be 4,4 thousand kilometers. Racers will come to the finish line at “Luzhniki” in Moscow. In total, 80 crews participate in the competition.
