Ashgabat music lovers eagerly awaited the International Day of Music, knowing that the best works of Turkmen and European composers will traditionally sound in the Large Hall of the National Conservatory.
The concert program opened an integral part of the national musical culture dutar. The folk tune "Bourne-ashak" was inspired by Osman Gudzhimov.
People's Artist of Turkmenistan Orazgul Annamuradova continued the concert program of Frederick Chopin's “Scherzo No. 2”, masterfully conveying the tempo, abrupt changes of images, contrasts and poetry of Chopin's style.
The laureate of international contests Ashir Ashirov replaced Orazgul at the piano, introducing “Toccata” - an early work of Aram Khachaturian to the listeners in which the composer’s characteristic techniques vividly showed: improvisational and rich melodic variability.
Laureate of the international competition Aybolek Mukhiyeva performed on violin Edward Mirzoyan's “Introduction and Continuous Movement”. Although the author for the cello and string orchestra wrote the musical poem, Aybolek succeeded to convey to the listeners a subtle emotionality. She received the score of this work as a gift from the organizers of the Yerevan Violin Competition last year.
“Quintet, part 1” by Antonin Dvorak performed by Bahar Annadurdyeva (piano), Bahram Dolyev (violin), Ibrahim Orazov (second violin), Tahir Atayev (viola), Kakageldy Khodzhalekov (cello) pleased the ear with a bright melodic pattern of Czech folk music.
The tenor Nurmurad Nuryyev penetrated the aria of Garib in love from the immortal opera “Shasenem and Garib” at the end of the program.
The winner of international competitions Stella Faramazova acted as the accompanist of the festive musical evening.
Touched by the magic sounds, the public with a flurry of enthusiastic applause thanked the musicians for their performing talent.
