The cities whose residents spend the longest time stuck in traffic jams are named

Dublin topped the ranking of world cities by the amount of time residents spent in traffic jams in 2023, RIA Novosti reports.

Last year, residents of the Irish capital lost 158 hours in traffic jams, according to traffic company TomTom. The time spent on the road increased by 66% compared to the situation in the absence of traffic, which also became a record among various cities.

Second place in the ranking was taken by the capital of Peru, Lima, where residents spent 157 hours in traffic jams. Third place went to Mexico City with 152 hours.

Dublin also took second place after London in the time required to cover 10 kilometers (29.5 minutes). However, the average speed during rush hour in Dublin was only 25.7 km/h.
