The championship of Turkmenistan on road cycling ended in Ashgabat

The championship of Turkmenistan in road cycling, which was held on the roads of Ashgabat, has recently ended, reports today the electronic newspaper “Golden Age”.

The tournament was organized by the Cycling Federation and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan.

For four days, more than 50 athletes fought for the championship title. The competition program consisted of individual, pair and team time trials, and also a group race, in which the winner was determined by the points scored.

In the individual race at a distance of 25 kilometers among men, won Mahmut Ashirov. In women in this discipline, the distance was 15 kilometers. Zohre Gurbanmyradova showed the best result here.

In the group race, the athletes rode in a circle.Thus, the winner was determined by the number of points scored at the intermediate and final finishes.The women rode 20 laps and the men 30 laps.

In the men, Mahmut Ashirov from Ashgabat became the winner.The second result was shown by Yhlasbek Adylbekov from Dashoguz.Among women, the strongest in this discipline was Jennet Gylychdurdyyeva from Ahal velayat.

by an athlete from Dashoguz Sevinch Gutlymyradova.

Within the framework of the championship, for the first time an additional cycling race was held for cycling enthusiasts, where those who wish could try their hand.
