The Cannes Film Festival elected a female president for the first time

For the first time in the history of the Cannas Film Festival, a woman will be become the president of the show. Ex-CEO of Warner Bros. Iris Knobloch will be the new head. She will succeed Pierre Lescure, who will retire after three presidential terms. Iris Knobloch will direct the Cannas Film Festival till 2025.

In accordance with the daily.afisha.ru, before being elected to the post of the review president, Iris Knobloch was the CEO of Warner Bros.for 15 years in France, and also oversaw commercial and marketing development for WarnerMedia in France, the Benelux countries, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.

In 2008, Iris Knobloch was awarded the title of Knight of the Legion of Honor.

This year Cannas Film Festival will be held from 17 to 28 May.
