The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the contest “The Best Museum of the Country in 2022” was held at the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.
As reports the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper, the competition among museums was held in 5 nominations: museums of velayat, city, etrap, rural significance and branches of state museums competed among themselves.
According to the results of the contest “The best velayat museum of the year” was the Historical and Local Lore Museum of the Balkan velayat.
“The best city museum of the year” was the Bahshi Museum of the Dashoguz velayat.
In the nomination “The best etrap museum of the year” the winner was the museum named after Magtymguly Fragi of the Magtymguly etrap of the Balkan velayat.
Gengeshlik Museum named after S.Cherkezov of Akdepe etrap of Dashoguz velayat was recognized as the “Best rural museum of the year”.
The Historical and Archaeological Museum of the Mekan village of the Bayramaly etrap, a branch of the Local History Museum of the Mary velayat, was determined in the nomination “The best museum branch of the year”.
The competition was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the National Trade Union Center of the country.
