From 22 to 27 June, the Week of Culture-2023 will be held in Turkmenistan. Within its framework, a cycle of short and full-length feature films shot by Turkmen filmmakers is planned to be shown on Turkmen television.
According to Turkmenistan: The Golden Age, they include the full-length feature film Hajygolak directed by Batyr Batyrov, which tells the story of a teenager named Hajy who became a skilled musician; a full-length feature film by Vepa Ishangulyev “The Price of a Big Prize” (Uly baýragyň gymmaty), in which the theme of the world-famous Ahal-Teke horse breeding, the art of Turkmen riding, is revealed through life events; feature film Hüýrlukga-Hemra directed by Myrat Orazov, based on the Turkmen destan of the same name; short feature film "Youth" (Ýaşlar) directed by Isgendermuhammet Annamukhammedov.
Also, the Ashgabat cinema will host a screening of the feature film Istärin, directed by Arslan Eyberdiyev, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the classic of Turkmen literature, poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi.
