InterNations, a portal specializing in information for immigrants and travelers, has published the results of a large-scale study on the best countries in the world for foreigners to live and work in 2024. Based on the data obtained, a ranking of 53 states was compiled. Panama topped the list of best countries for expats, followed by Mexico and Indonesia. The top ten also included Spain, Colombia, Thailand, Brazil, Vietnam, the Philippines and the UAE.
It is interesting to note that some countries traditionally considered attractive for immigration found themselves at the bottom of the ranking. Thus, Kuwait took the last, 53rd place, followed by Türkiye and Finland. Germany, Canada,
Norway, Italy, Malta, Ireland and the UK also ranked among the top 10 least favorable countries for expats according to the study.
